Queer City Cinema Artist Focus

  • - a curated screening and discussion with Steve Reinke part of Here and Elsewhere: Contemporary Practice and Contexts Lecture Series organized by Dunlop Art Gallery

    Steve Reinke is one of Canada's leading media artists of the new generation. This curated screening is presented in association with Queer City Cinema's media arts installation exhibition Queering Plunder (see November 17) which seeks to investigate queer image making, perspectives and subjects.

    Steve Reinke has exhibited widely including the Museum of Art, the Centre Pompidou, the Tate, the National Gallery, International Film Festival Rotterdam and the New York Video Festival. He is the co-editor with Tom Taylor, of Lux: A Decade of Artists' Film and Video and with Chris Gehman, The Sharpest Point: Animation at the End of Cinema. He is currently Associate Professor of Art Theory and Practice at Northwestern University
