QUEER CITY CINEMA PRESENTS

FEATURING FEATURES FILM FESTIVAL

September 21- 23, 2017

As the title for this year’s festival indicates, QCC will screen exclusively feature-length documentaries and narrative films. While QCC often prioritizes short film programs for their personal, intimate and DIY qualities, this festival will focus on the significance of features - providing insights into how feature length film relates to LGBTQ storytelling, history, identity, the popularity of movies and the social and political impact that feature length film has on minoritized communities, audiences and popular culture.

Outreach Activity will take the form of a post screening discussion with members of Two Spirit/First Nations community of Regina following the free presentation of Two Soft Things, Two Hard Things - a feature documentary by Mark Kenneth Woods and Michael Yerxa, about a small group in Nunavut, Canada as they prepare for a seminal LGBTQ Pride celebration.
